Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (ages 13–25)
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is the world’s largest youth leadership award. It is recognized by employers, colleges, and universities. The Award encourages personal growth, community engagement, and adventurous pursuits. Tailored for ages 13-25, this prestigious award cultivates resilience, teamwork, and a sense of responsibility. In partnership with the Vancouver Outdoor School Award Centre, we have established a BTT support stream so that youth can get started right away… and build their capacity, attain an achievement & feel a sense of pride in their life.
How does this connect to Between the Trees mentorship services?
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award can be earned during BTT sessions, meaning it is a no-brainer if the learner is 13 years or older.
While the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is designed to be a youth-led process, adding BTT support means that the Award is attainable for youth & young adults needing support with executive functioning, coordination and/or access.
