Between the Trees 1:1 mentorship services currently focus on ages 6–18. We recommend that individuals aged 19+ consider the two options below.

Adventures for Gen Z who are neurodiverse and/or need help to launch

Our sister company Fireside Adventures offers a unique expedition series called Gen Z Travels with adventures in Canada, Japan, the UK, South America and beyond. These are small-group experiences that support neurodiverse participants.

How does this connect to Between the Trees?
Between the Trees and Fireside Adventures are the same company with the same leadership and educator team. This means we’re able to advise, consult and strategize with you to go beyond 1:1 mentorship and prepare for camps & leadership courses. 

1:1 Counselling and Mentorship with Vancouver Counselling and Wellness

We’re thrilled to announce a transformative collaboration between Vancouver Counselling and Wellness Centre (VCAW) and Creative Toolbox (Between the Trees & Fireside Adventures). VCAW is a counselling clinic with a wealth of experience supporting individuals and groups facing challenges with anxiety, identity, family struggles, and major life transitions.

Together, we’re pushing the boundaries of wellness and adventure travel by integrating the power of narrative therapy with outdoor experiential education. BTT staff will work alongside VCAW counsellors to create an adventure experience that allows Gen Z to overcome obstacles, discover their voice, and find their purpose in life.

How does this connect to Between the Trees?
Once our BTT participants reach the age of 18, if they are still in need of 1:1 mentorship or counselling, we recommend they transition to VCAW. Two reasons: (1) VCAW counselling services are designed to continue through adulthood, and (2) VCAW counsellors join us over at Fireside Adventures on select expeditions, meaning that everyone stays connected.
